Veterinary Injectable Phenylbutazone 20% Dexamethasone Injection for Horses, 100ml

Mechanism of Action:

Dexamethasone: A member of the glucocorticoid family, it exerts pharmacologic effects on all body cells. It is widely evaluated for its immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory actions. It inhibits lytic enzymes released during inflammation and severe stress, and decreases macrophage phagocytosis.

Phenylbutazone: An NSAID that inhibits prostaglandin inflammatory effects, blocking pain, fever, and inflammation. It reduces vascular bed permeability in early inflammation stages, preventing edema and diapedesis.

Indications of Use:
Anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic. Specifically for musculoskeletal inflammations such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, laminitis, and tendonitis in horses.

• Contraindicated in animals with heart, liver, or kidney problems.
• Do not use in the end term of pregnancy.
• Do not use concomitantly with other NSAIDs or corticosteroid drugs.
• IV injection must be performed slowly.
• Once opened, the remaining medicine can be used for up to 28 days.
• Protect from direct sunlight and store between 15 - 25° C.
