Composition:
Each ml contains:
Phenylbutazone 200mg
Dexamethasone (as sodium phosphate) 0.38 mg
Excipient: Q.S.P. 100 ml
Mechanism of Action:
Dexamethasone is a member of the glucocorticoid family, exerting pharmacologic effects on all body cells. It is widely evaluated for its immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory actions. It inhibits lytic enzymes released during inflammation and severe stress, decreasing macrophage phagocytosis.
Phenylbutazone belongs to the NSAIDs group. Its mechanism involves inhibiting prostaglandin inflammatory effects that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. It reduces vascular bed permeability, preventing edema and diapedesis during the early stages of inflammation.
The combination provides predominant anti-inflammatory and pain relief through dual mechanisms of action.
Indications of Use:
Anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic. Indicated for musculoskeletal inflammations such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, laminitis, and tendonitis in horses.

Contraindications:
Decrease recommended dose in cases of vascular brittle and congestion; do not apply a second dose if these conditions persist. Contraindicated in animals with heart, liver, or kidney problems, or during end-term pregnancy.
